SEAPCP - Community Organizing Course (CO Course)
Dear All,
SEAPCP - South East Asia Popular Communications Programme - is a network initiated by a group of experienced professional community facilitators, trainers & resource persons in the SEA region. The primary objective of SEAPCP is to strengthen & support grassroots organizations to develop their community organizing(CO) perspective & skills including learning creative media, strategizing & tactics & setting up systems. Another focus is to help SEAPCP partners developing their capacity to generate financial support for local programme activities
In order to enhance the community organizing perspective and skills among the trainers, SEAPCP design an annual Community Organizing Course (CO Course). In 2008, we offer the 2nd C.O. course which will focus on the issue of "Community Organizing & Human Rights Based Approach to Development"
The CO Course is going to be conducted on:
Date : November, 15-24 2008
Place : Bali - Indonesia (the exact location to be advised by local host)
Hopefully that through the course, young community organizers and even experienced ones can reflect and learn from each other the basic approaches
to community organizing based on a human rights' frame towards development.
SEAPCPoffers scholarships and sponsorship of airfares to the selected applicants. We also offer a joint support of course fee and international airfares with the sending organization.
