Senior Advisor in Carbon Financing & Forest Economics, SNV Vietnam

SNV Vietnam is seeking a Senior Advisor in Carbon Financing & Forest Economics. S/he would have the responsibility to advise on the development of feasible, market-based carbon credit value chains in the forest sector and other sectors, where possible. In particular, s/he would also contribute to the SNV-RECOFTC REDD partnership assignment, develop and promote SNV’s Inclusive Business product in carbon financing, exchange knowledge and experiences on carbon financing with other SNV sectors in Vietnam and with other SNV Asian countries, and contribute to building the capacity of SNV advisors in carbon financing worldwide. Primary qualifications include an academic background in environmental studies (e.g. forestry, renewable energy, and environmental science), with specific attention to economics; and a minimum of seven years of relevant working experience in the field of carbon funding and PES.
