Two REDD-focused PhD. Scholarships at the Australian National University

Two PhD. scholarships are available at the Australian National University as part of a project titled “Governance and Economic Incentives for Reducing the Contribution of Tropical Deforestation to Climate Change.” One scholar would research the influence of governance (including corruption, decentralization, and illegal logging) on REDD activities in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, while the other would research REDD incentive payments in the aforementioned two countries. Applicants must have completed an Honours degree or equivalent Master’s degree in economics, public policy, environmental management, or relevant discipline; and must be either a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or a permanent resident of Australia.
