The Conservation Fund is seeking a Program Manager for its new National Community Forestry Trust (NCFT), which provides sophisticated intermediary services to help primarily rural communities assess, acquire, conserve, manage and create jobs and economic opportunities from community forests.
Primary responsibilities include managing all functions of NCFT; developing a business plan for NCFT; and developing a “community forest owner’s manual” that includes sample documents needed by local governing bodies to organize, acquire, conserve, manage and sustain community forests. Essential qualifications include a Batchelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ experience in land conservation, natural resource management, community development, or related field, and fluency in English.
