IGES seeks a Researcher for the organization’s Forest Conservation Project

. Under the guidance of the Project manager, s/he would conduct and publish strategic policy research on sustainable forest management (SFM) issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region, particularly on concept of REDD; initiate and foster partnerships to design, seek funding for, and implement collaborative research activities; and coordinate planning and logistics with relevant stakeholders for workshops and other events. Primary qualifications include an advanced degree in a natural or social sciences subject relevant to SFM; experience in conducting research within an international organizational framework as well as independently; and fluency in English.
