Senior Program Officer—Capacity Building Services, RECOFTC

RECOFTC is seeking a Senior Program Officer for the organization’s Capacity Building Services (CABS) Program. Reporting to the CABS Manager, s/he will contribute to the development and implementation of CABS’s activities as outlined in the RECOFTC Strategic Plan 2008-2013 and Program Plan 2008-2013. The main objective of the CABS Program is to assess capacities at national and regional levels; design and develop capacity-building programs, products, and services relevant to RECOFTC’s clients and partners; and coordinate and facilitate their delivery with the assistance of other RECOFTC Programs. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resource management, agriculture, environment, or equivalent; at least 10 years experience in the field of CF/CBNRM or participatory natural resource management, particularly in capacity building and participatory training; and fluency in written and spoken English.
