Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), an Italian leading research centre devoted to the
study of sustainable development and global governance, welcomes Marie Curie Individual
Fellowship applications in the field of economics and the environment.
In particular FEEM is seeking 2-3 Marie Curie Fellow candidates to pursue research in the
areas of disaster risk reduction, natural hazards’ economic and social impact assessment, and
vulnerability/resilience to natural disasters and climate change.
Applicants should have:
- a PhD degree in environmental or natural resource economics, environmental
management or research experience of more than 4 years in relevant areas of
environmental or ecological economics,
- strong analytical and diagnostic skills, and ability to conduct research independently,
- publication record proportional to their research experience,
- previous experience from international research projects would be a strong asset.
Marie Curie opportunities vary according to the country of residence:
- researchers from a Member State or Associated Country may opt for an Intra-European
Fellowship for Career Development (IEF)
- researchers from third countries may opt for an International Incoming Fellowship (IIF).
Female researchers and candidates from International Cooperation Partner Countries (ICPC)
are particularly encouraged to apply.
Promising candidates will be actively helped and assisted in developing project proposals for
the Marie Curie Individual Fellowships within the EC FP7 People Program.
Selected candidates will be offered paid short visiting positions at the FEEM office in
Venice for June-July 2010. During this period, the candidates will prepare/submit the Marie
Curie Proposals under the supervision of the FEEM senior researchers.
The successful Marie Curie fellows will be associated within the cluster of EC research projects
dealing with climate adaptation, natural hazard management and vulnerability assessment.
FEEM will offer a truly international and multi-disciplinary workplace. The strong ties with a
world-wide network of research institutions engaged in environmental research will allow a
continuous fruitful exchange of experience.

Memastikan implementasi proyek perintis CB-NRM

Major Accountabilities
To lead and coordinate spatial plan works at all project sites in Papua, to support the project objectives
Responsible for capacity building of WWF-ID GIS staff on conservation spatial analysis.
Developing CB-NRM (Community Base - Natural Resource Management) concept, design pilot project and strengthen capacity on participatory mapping in Papua.
Ensuring the implementation of CB-NRM pilot project
Requirement
Min. bachelor degree (S1) in Geography, preferably has a master degree.
Willing to be placed in Jayapura
Minimum 10 years experience in environmental conservation, wildlife protection and/or protected area management, including previous experience at a senior level
Thorough knowledge on Conservation Spatial Plan for terrestrial conservation and sustainable forest management.
Strong knowledge and skills in policy - advocacy for sustainable terrestrial resource use in an era of decentralization
Extensive project management experience, including financial and HR management

GLOBAL FOREST & TRADE NETWORK (GFTN) COORDINATOR
Major Accountabilities: 1. Responsible on the implementation of all activities at national level, including generating income from existing members and broadening engagement to the forest managers that fall bellow the minimum entry requirements against GFTN participation rules.
2. Generate new resources to counter the sustainability of the program besides maintaining the existing partnership with corporate, government and civil society.
3. Smooth alignment with other projects within WWF-Indonesia in relation to building network within corporate sector in forestry to foster sustainable forest management and promoting credible certification systems.
4. Recap all progress and report to the Forest Director and GFTN-Support Unit as well as to donors as necessary.
